This work is for a
restoration project for a chapel at Borgue in the south
west of Scotland. This area of Scotland is noted for
some very old and beautiful churches, it is just west of
Whithorn, which is the site of Scotland's first stone
church, founded by St. Ninian in 397 AD.
The chapel at Borgue fell into some disrepair and much
of the original wood work became victim to rot and
Powder-post beetles. It is a very great honor for me
to have had the opportunity to have a part in this
restoration.
Upon the arrival of the replacement pieces they will be
stained to match the originals. |
