This is just an example and every piece I make would of coarse be different and unique unto itself. The purpose of this section of the website is to give people a visual suggestion as to what I can create in the way Architectural detail, and above all if you are interested to show you exactly what it is I need in the way of information to make the piece. In the past I have had inquires which have been difficult to answer due to a lack of information such as size, shape, etc. |
| The masonry comes out from the fireplace
and eventually ends, that is the area I am trying to decorate. As
you can see you only cover part of it that is so the wood is not too
close to the heat of your fire.
What I need to know... 1)First what is the distance (in inches) from one end of the fire hole to the other which is marked "width" in the diagram. Also the height of the hole (in inches) marked with the letter "C". Then... 2)I need to know what the distance from the fireplace hole out to the end of the masonry which is marked "b" on the diagram, take note that that has to be done on both sides of the opening. Finally... 3)measure the distance from the opening of the fireplace to the top-edge of the masonry marked "a". However, if you have a Mantle-piece (which is the piece coming out above the fireplace) I will need you to measure from the fireplace opening to the bottom edge of the mantle so that the wood fits under the mantle.
